About us

The name Levliann was simply formulated from a combination of names between Laura and Mother, Ann. 
We live in close proximity on the ‘farm’ which more realistically is a small holding, in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, near ancient Market town, Morpeth. The beautiful countryside in which we live, is an integral factor for our dogs happiness and freedom that it enables. Our dogs are very rarely on the lead and are out with us feeding sheep and horses throughout the day, wandering the fields, woods and stables with us. 

We work our dogs regularly during the shooting season. My father, David uses our flat coats for picking up on a large Grouse Moor in Durham, as well as working them for fun on private Pheasant days. 

We have very lightly Shown our dogs, sadly mainly due to lack of time! Laura events horses and spends a large amount of time training and competing, which makes the dog showing second fiddle. The one and only show our Swedish import, Steig competed at in 2017 brought home his first CC and BOB at GBAS, much to our enjoyment! We do hope to do more in future, but with a young family and animals, we squeeze in what we realistically can.

Here at Levliann we have a real passion for Livers. We try to breed them where we can. My aim to breed excellent quality livers, hoping to maintain type and depth of coat colour.  We occasionally breed our wonderful bitches. Our philosophy being to breed the best puppies we possibly can, improving and promoting health where we can. We aim to breed strong, healthy puppies with excellent temperaments. Temperament is so important to us, having a very young family, it is essential that they are kind and trustworthy. We hope to breed puppies that will work and do a job, whilst being the perfect family companion that can also hold their own in the show ring. We are experienced breeders and Kennel Club Assured. Our puppies have often had months ( if not years ) of planning and study that has gone into looking at pedigrees, coefficients and health.
